A timeless flower.
Roses are one of the oldest flowers on earth. There have been fossils of roses found from over 35 million years ago. The world's oldest rosebush is located on the walls of Hildesheim Cathedral in Germany (1200 years old). The Cathedral was destroyed during the war in 1945, but the rosebush remains.
Interesting fact... roses have been sent to outer-space to see how gravity effects the fragrance. New fragrances have been made from "space roses".
